Maurice K. TOROITICH

Maurice TOROITICH is a Kenyan citizen with more than 28 years’ experience in Commercial banking. He has served as MD of KCB and BPR Banks in Rwanda for more than 20 years and has been the longest serving MD in the Banking sector in Rwanda and currently serving as Managing Director and CEO for NCBA Bank Rwanda .

Role in CFG-Holdings

1. Visionary Leadership
The CEO provides overall leadership, setting the strategic direction for CFG-Holdings and ensuring alignment with the company’s mission to empower Africa’s financial ecosystem.

2. Strategic Planning and Execution
The CEO develops and implements long-term business strategies that drive organizational growth, improve operational efficiency, and meet market demands across Africa.

3. Operational Oversight
The CEO oversees the day-to-day operations of CFG-Holdings, ensuring that all subsidiaries and business units work collaboratively to meet financial, operational, and strategic goals.

The CEO builds and maintains strong relationships with investors, clients, regulators, and other key stakeholders, ensuring that CFG-Holdings continues to be recognized as a trusted and reliable partner.

The CEO is responsible for managing the financial health of CFG-Holdings, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that financial goals are achieved to support sustainable growth.

 The CEO ensures that CFG-Holdings is operating in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and has appropriate risk management strategies in place to safeguard the organization’s assets.

Maurice Toroitich has a highly accomplished career in executive banking and leadership roles. Key highlights include:

  • BPR Bank Rwanda Plc (2017–2022): CEO/Managing Director

    • Successfully transformed the business, turning it from losses to profitability with an impressive Return on Equity (RoE) of 20% within 4 years.
    • Promoted a high-quality work environment, achieving 87% staff satisfaction ratings.
  • KCB Bank Rwanda Plc (2008–2017): CEO/Managing Director

    • Initiated and led a start-up strategy, achieving significant market penetration with a 9% market share and a ranking of 6th out of 16 in the market within 8 years.
    • Shaped a high-performance organizational culture.
  • Stanbic Bank Kenya Ltd (2006–2008): Regional Manager for Personal and Business Banking

    • Spearheaded the bank’s retail banking strategy, leading to substantial growth in net earning assets from KES 2 billion to over KES 7 billion in 2 years.
  • Citrine Financial Group Holdings (2024–Present): Group Chief Executive Officer

    • Recently assumed leadership, with a focus on strategic development and execution in collaboration with stakeholders and financial partners.
