ACHUNDOH Canisius Esq. is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 20 years of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, property law, contract negotiation, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He is the Managing Partner and Founder of The Achundoh Law Firm, a full-service corporate and commercial law firm based in Douala, Cameroon.

Role at CFG-Holdings

As Company Secretary of CFG-Holdings Plc, Canisius Achundoh plays a critical role in ensuring that the Board of Directors operates in line with best practices in corporate governance and regulatory compliance. He acts as a strategic legal advisor to the Board and Executive Management, facilitating effective board meetings, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring strict adherence to legal and statutory obligations across all subsidiaries of the Group.

In his capacity, he:

  • Oversees the preparation and management of board and shareholder meetings.

  • Advises on corporate legal structures, mergers, acquisitions, and risk management frameworks.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance across multi-jurisdictional operations.

  • Drafts and reviews complex contracts, NDAs, MOUs, and corporate governance documents.

  • Supports strategic decision-making processes through diligent legal risk assessments.

  • Upholds CFG-Holdings’ corporate integrity and stakeholder trust across African markets.

His experience enables CFG-Holdings to navigate the Pan-African regulatory environment with confidence, positioning the group for long-term sustainable growth.

  • Managing Partner and Founder – The Achundoh Law Firm (2018–Present)

    • Specializing in corporate practice, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, property acquisition, contract reviews, incorporation, and alternative dispute resolution.

  • Business Development Manager – Vanguard Assurance Cameroon (2010–2014)

    • Led sales, business development support, and consultancy services in the insurance and assurance sector.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Law – University of Buea (2003–2007)

  • Call to Bar (Common Law) – Nigerian Law School (2018)
